The Amiga became a powerhouse for digital creativity and gaming. It was a popular platform for music creation through the use of music trackers. The system also hosted early 3D rendering packages such as LightWave 3D, Imagine, and Traces.

In the video industry, the Video Toaster made the Amiga a low-cost option for professional production. Many famous video games also had their origins on the Amiga.
