This clock shows how close the world is to a nuclear disaster. In 1953, the clock was set at two minutes to midnight. In 2026, the clock was set at 85 seconds to midnight. This is the closest the clock has ever been to midnight. Scientists use this tool to show how much work leaders must do to keep the world safe.
