Zenobia's legacy remains strong in many different fields. She is viewed as a patriotic symbol in Syria today. Her life has inspired countless historians, artists, and novelists throughout the centuries. Even though her empire fell, her ability to manage a diverse empire and her support for intellectual life make her a significant figure in history. She died after 274, leaving behind a story that continues to be studied and debated by scholars around the world.
