Beyond his speed, Bolt received many prestigious global honors. He was named the IAAF World Athlete of the Year and the Laureus World Sportsman of the Year four times. The BBC named him Overseas Sports Personality of the Year three times. In 2016, Time magazine included him in its list of the 100 Most Influential People. 
Bolt's career concluded at the 2017 World Championships. In his final solo 100 m race, he finished in third place. He also pulled up with a hamstring injury during the 4 × 100 m relay final.
