Following Shen Yue's advice, Emperor Wu ordered Xiao Baorong to be killed. This event had a deep impact on Shen Yue. He fell gravely ill shortly after this decision. During his illness, he had a troubling dream. In the dream, Xiao Baorong used a sword to cut off his tongue. Shen Yue consulted a shaman about this dream. The shaman confirmed the dream was real. To find peace, Shen Yue held rituals with priests and monks. He wanted to show that he did not personally wish for the death.
