Stone circles like Stonehenge show evidence of solar and lunar alignments. Stonehenge is famous for its connection to the solstice. This means the stones align with the sun at specific times of the year. Other circles, like the one at Lough Gur in Ireland, also belong to this tradition. These sites helped ancient people track time and seasons.

Today, megaliths help us understand human development. They show how early societies organized labor to move huge rocks. They also show how people connected their lives to the earth and the stars.
