This model allowed the pilot to change the angle of incidence of the wings either together or independently.
Montgomery's journey was marked by both success and scientific frustration. While he felt his 1884 flights were effective, his later designs struggled with lift-generation. For example, the 1886 craft was designed to carry 180 pounds, but it could not obtain enough lift from the wind.
