Jensen Huang is a leader.

Jensen Huang is the leader of a big company called Nvidia.
In 1993, Huang started Nvidia. He met his partners at a Denny's diner. They used $600 to start the company.
Nvidia makes special computer parts. These parts are called GPUs, or graphics processing units. These chips help computers show pictures and do hard math. Now, these chips help with artificial intelligence, or AI. AI lets machines learn and solve problems.
Because of AI, Nvidia grew very fast. It became a very valuable company. Huang has been the boss of Nvidia for over thirty years. He does not have a fixed office. He moves around the company headquarters to work.
Jensen Huang is a famous business leader and engineer.

Building a big company is a very hard job. In 1993, Huang and two partners started Nvidia. They met at a Denny's restaurant to make a plan. They only had $600 to start the business. At first, the company almost ran out of money. They were often only thirty days away from closing. They survived because they changed how they made chips. They moved from making one type of shape to another. This helped them make better graphics for games.
Huang's journey to success took many steps. He studied electrical engineering at Oregon State University. He later earned a master's degree from Stanford University. Before starting Nvidia, he worked as a chip designer. He worked for companies like AMD and LSI Logic. At LSI, he helped make a successful graphics engine. This experience taught him how to build hardware. He used these skills to lead his own team. He has been the boss of Nvidia for over thirty years.
Nvidia makes very important parts for computers. These parts are called GPUs, or graphics processing units. A GPU helps a computer show images and do math. Today, these chips are used for artificial intelligence, or AI. AI helps machines learn and solve problems quickly. Because of the AI boom, Nvidia grew very fast. In October 2025, it became the first company worth over $5 trillion.
Many people know Jensen Huang today because of his work. He was named one of the most influential people by Time magazine. He was also called an "Architect of AI." Huang has a very unique way of working. He does not have a permanent office at his company. Instead, he moves around the headquarters to different rooms. He does not even wear a watch. He says that "now" is the most important time.
Jensen Huang is a prominent business executive, electrical engineer, and philanthropist. He is the founder, president, and chief executive officer (CEO) of Nvidia. Today, Nvidia is the largest company in the world by market capitalization, which is the total value of all its stock. Huang's leadership has transformed the company from a small startup into a global leader in computing.
Huang's early life involved many transitions between different countries. He was born in Taipei, Taiwan, on February 17, 1963. His parents were immigrants who moved frequently for work. As a child, he lived in Taiwan and Thailand. When he was nine, he moved to the United States to live with an uncle in Washington. His family later settled in Oregon. During his time in Kentucky, he attended a religious reform academy. This period was difficult, as he faced bullying and struggled with the language.
Education played a vital role in preparing Huang for his engineering career. He attended Aloha High School in Oregon, where he excelled in mathematics and science. He skipped two grades and graduated at age 16. He then enrolled at Oregon State University to study electrical engineering. He graduated in 1984 with highest honors. Later, while working in Silicon Valley, he earned a master's degree from Stanford University in 1992. This advanced training helped him become a skilled microchip designer.
Before founding Nvidia, Huang gained essential experience in the semiconductor industry. He worked for companies such as Texas Instruments and Advanced Micro Devices (AMD). At LSI Logic, he worked on a successful graphics engine called the GX graphics engine. This product helped increase the revenue of Sun Microsystems significantly. During this time, he met engineers Chris Malachowsky and Curtis Priem. These three men would eventually become the co-founders of Nvidia. Their shared interest in graphics chips led them to start a new venture together.
In 1993, Huang, Malachowsky, and Priem founded Nvidia. They chose to meet at a Denny's restaurant in East San Jose to develop their business plan. They officially incorporated the company with only $600 in initial capital.
Under Huang's leadership, Nvidia expanded far beyond gaming. The company became a leader in producing graphics processing units (GPUs). A GPU is a specialized chip designed to handle complex mathematical tasks and images. Today, these chips are essential for high-performance computing and artificial intelligence (AI). The recent boom in AI technology has driven massive growth for the company. In October 2025, Nvidia became the first company to reach a market capitalization of over $5 trillion.
Huang's influence on the world of technology is widely recognized. In 2021 and 2024, Time magazine included him on its list of the 100 most influential people. In 2025, he was named one of the "Architects of AI" by Time. He maintains a unique management style at Nvidia. He does not use a fixed office and instead moves between various conference rooms. He also prefers a flat management structure with many direct reports.
