You can find examples of pseudoganglia in the radial nerve. They are also located in the teres minor muscle. 
There is also a group of structures called the basal ganglia. These are different because they are located inside the brain. Because they are in the brain, they are part of the central nervous system. They are actually a group of nuclei. These nuclei are interconnected with several important brain areas. These include the cerebral cortex, the thalamus, and the brainstem. Due to this location, the term "basal ganglia" can be confusing. 
The basal ganglia are essential for many high-level functions. They are involved in motor control, which helps you move. They also play a role in cognition, which involves thinking. Furthermore, they are connected to emotions and learning. Because they are part of the central nervous system, some experts prefer a different name. The Terminologia Anatomica recommends using the term "basal nuclei" instead. However, most people still use the term basal ganglia today.
