In 2001, the Russian company VGTRK acquired a 1.8% stake. By 2009, the Turkish broadcaster TRT became a major partner with a 15.70% stake. A major shift occurred in 2015 when Media Globe Networks, owned by Naguib Sawiris, acquired a 53% controlling stake. This ownership change led to a new headquarters in Lyon. The new complex covers 10,000 square meters and was designed by the firm Jakob + MacFarlane.

In 2017, a significant strategic partnership was formed with NBCUniversal, the parent company of NBC News. NBCUniversal purchased a 25% stake in the network for €25 million, or approximately $30 million. This partnership, known as Euronews NBC, allowed for increased cooperation in content and operations.
