Desert farming connects ancient survival to modern technology. In Israel, agricultural output has increased sevenfold since 1948. Total farmland grew from 165,000 hectares to 420,000 hectares. The nation now produces 70% of its food by dollar value. They also lead in wastewater reuse, reclaiming 86% of their wastewater.
