This can cause blood pressure to drop. Class IV is the most serious. It happens when a person loses more than 40% of their blood volume.

The liver requires Vitamin K to produce clotting factors II, VII, IX, and X. If antibiotics kill gut bacteria that make Vitamin K, the risk of bleeding increases.
